UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH how annoying hormones can be right? I mean, isn’t it bad enough that we have to endure a period most of our lives? We try desperately for years NOT to get pregnant then when we do want to get pregnant it’s not happening. We then get diagnosed with infertility, inject ourselves with tons of hormones (I have freaked out on one too many innocent strangers) try and stay “normal” through IVF and have daydreams of moving to Paris and starting over.
My daydreams of moving to Paris or some remote exotic island with an unlimited amount of Veuve Clicquot, have evolved into creating a professional home boxing ring complete with pink heavy bags (yes bags plural, just in case I kill the first one), pink gloves and pink head gear. I feel like it might be a better stress reliever to kick the crap out of a bag instead of my husband or the Whole Foods cashier (you see I speak from experience…cashier not my husband, of course).
Let me just say, I hope I am not the only one that is getting super frustrated with failed cycles where “Unexplained Infertility” rules your world.
So humor me….Oh wait! Play the song below to really get you in the mood.
OK now that you are super pumped and even more angry than you were before you started reading my post. It’s time to get serious about releasing all the infertility pent up anger, frustration, pain, sadness, loneliness, “Why Me” drama that we are all dealing with. If you don’t have a pink heavy bag just waiting for you to kick it in the middle of your living room then punch a pillow and scream as loud as you want. Just try to do this when no one is home or it could get a little creepy and weird. I find that this is the best way to manage my anger and frustrations.
Staying active either by going to the gym or by walking/running is the best way to monitor the IVF stress in my opinion. I highly suggest no matter how down you are feeling that you jump in your car and head to the gym for a little kick a$$ session. Some of you girls will find yoga more relaxing but whatever you do don’t just sit at home and google.
I am sure I don’t have to write this but I will anyway. Check with your doctor before you start any kick a$$ physical activity.
And maybe, just maybe I will kick these hormones into shape and will get my body back to normal.
