I can’t believe it’s already March, and I have only posted two blog posts for you girls while preparing for my first FET (Frozen embryo transfer). FET’s are not a piece of cake as some of the IVF girls has said. I had heard and read that going through a FET used less medication than an IVF stimulation cycle; you were more relaxed etc. I found that I was doing just as many shots, taking more oral medication than a regular IVF stimulation and was beyond a crazy hormonal beast thank you Lupron. So, needless to say, it wasn’t as relaxing or easy as I thought it would be. Did I just use IVF and relaxing in the same sentence?
I have a video below that gives you all the details on my first FET with results, so if you have time watch it. I always think or say it’s going to be a quick update and then find myself editing a ten-minute video. Yes, I got too talkative on every report card in school, so I guess nothing changes.
If I can’t be in Paris or New York City drinking champagne sitting on my luxe couch at the Four Seasons going through IVF, then I might as well find a fabulous VBRO (Vacation Rental by Owner) to call my own when I am in Denver for two weeks at a time. You might remember the loft that we rented back in November that was just gorgeous, but I didn’t feel safe in the part of LoDo. I decided to go back to the first building that I stayed in from September (you can see my apartment tour here) because I felt safe having a doorman and staying in a high rise. The apartment I picked for my FET was a new apartment for me that I had not stayed in before. I would highly recommend staying here if you are going through IVF in Denver. This apartment located in the heart of beautiful downtown Denver for more information you can find it here.
Here are some pictures of the apartment I rented. It was pure luxury and relaxation.
I received these “Lucky” socks from my godmother and was thrilled when my husband surprised me with them. I wanted a pair of lucky socks that I had not worn for a procedure before. These were a great surprise and perfect!
I had to wear my lucky pink Hanky-Panky underwear. By now after eight fertility procedures, I think I have officially lost it. A couple of my favorite beauty products that made me feel beautiful.
I stapled the lucky Stork on my transfer day in my life planner that was sent to me from Romina from one of my subscribers on YouTube. The girl that sent it to me said that this little Stork was making rounds from one successful IVF sister to the next. I showed you the Stork card it came with on one of my videos back in September. This little charm means so much to me.
I brought with me everything that the women in my Bible study gave me from cards to Bible verses on note cards. It helped and strengthened me when I was feeling down. My Mother-in-law gave me the Prayer to our Lady of La Leche. I felt prayer and peace around me throughout my stay in Colorado. It was a very magical time.
