I had mentioned a couple of weeks ago on my vlog that I was having a bad day accepting the raw side effects of going through IVF. I am all in when it comes to doing the injections, appointments, eating clean and working out dirty but the weight gain around my hips (or should I say inflation from the PIO injections) is just a hard reality to swallow. I had heard the weight gain stories from other friends that had been through IVF. Everything from seven pounds to fifteen. Yikes, I was terrified so when I made it through IVF round one with no weight gain I thought I was safe. Clearly IVF round 2 didn’t offer me such perks.
I knew my favorite jeans didn’t fit but I didn’t think all my shorts would be not so comfortable to put on, OK who am I kidding they don’t fit either. So let’s see, spring is here and summer is right around the corner and I fit into nothing. I thought about going and buying a size up for my shorts but honestly, that’s the last thing I want to do. I have been the same size since high school and really didn’t think that I would be gaining weight from IVF. I have tons of travel coming up that includes islands, beach, sun, warm weather only to be in a dilemma of having nothing to comfortably wear, let’s not forget looks good on.
I wasn’t going to just sit back and feel sorry for my waistline, I decided that I had to figure out what would look good, feel comfortable and make me feel like my body was turning into something I didn’t know. I found these HEAD skorts with built in shorts hence the name “skort.” I am seriously in love with these skorts and they are the perfect solution for IVF weight gain for summer. They are stretchy, not too short and so comfortable. I was trying to find a link for you girls to these HEAD skorts I bought but nothing came up. I bought three skorts one in pink, black and white. They are going to be perfect for my upcoming cruise and international business travel.
After some research I found an amazing site called Running Skirts that has a great selection of running skirts, compression socks, maternity skorts, sporty dresses etc. Now this is the way to go if you feel like the IVF pounds are gaining on you. It keeps you stylish and feeling good about yourself.
I also found an adorable ultra soft blue and white athletic skirt by SOYBU. Save 25% on your next order when you sign up for their mailing list. I like this skort because I don’t feel like it looks like an athletic skirt. I could easily wear this skirt during the day and not look like I am running late to my tennis match.
Here are some of my favorites from Runningskirts
Hope you enjoyed my latest IVF fashion find. I am excited to wear these cute skorts with a simple white tee and feel normal again.
